Cause of garage fire unknown

    The cause of a garage fire on Ottawa’s south side Saturday night isn’t known. Captain Geiger is with Ottawa Fire Department. He told “Classic Hits 103-9 WLPO” news 9 men responded to 441 5^th avenue around 6:20pm. The fire was burning the outside southwest corner of the garage and got into the attic and eaves before being extinguished. Damage is estimated at $6500. Firemen were at the scene 1 hour.
