Widespread frost expected this weekend in the Illinois Valley

If you value the life of your plants, you may want to bring them inside.

A Freeze Watch takes effect at late Friday and goes until Saturday morning. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20s or lower 30s causing widespread frost.

The chance of frost is also there Saturday night but by Monday, high temperatures will get back to around
