Annual Harvest Fest returns to Oglesby

Posted by wlpo on October 13, 2015

A farmer’s market, music, and costume parade are just of few of the things going on in downtown Oglesby this Saturday. The city is celebrating Harvest with a number of activities in the lot near city hall on Walnut Street.

While you’re shopping for fresh vegetables, enjoy watching the teams participating in the annual Scramble scavenger hunt. It’s much like TV’s Amazing Race with teams racing around Oglesby trying to win their share of $800. That begins at 11:30.

Children can get dressed up for the costume parade and trick-or-treating at three. Starting around the same time is a bonfire downtown with face painting, pumpkin decorating and other kid’s activities.

Harvest Fest also has something for adults- a Zombie Pub Crawl starting at 6:30.
