Flooded resale store in Princeton hopes to re-open Tuesday

An animal shelter in Princeton needed help and the Illinois Valley responded.
With over five inches of rain falling Friday in Princeton, the resale store of Friends of Strays flooded. A call went out for help on Facebook and according to “Strays” treasurer and store manager Tanya Foley, over 20 volunteers helped box up what could be saved. Unfortunately thousands of things in the store were junked because of the flood water.
Besides the volunteers, Walmart provided a semi trailer to store things removed from the store.
Foley hopes to reopen “Finder’s Keeper’s Resale” Tuesday.
