Anti-abortion kicks off in Ottawa

Planned Parenthood has been in the news a lot lately and an annual “anti-abortion” movement is underway in Ottawa.
A group called Illinois Valley Citizens for Life hosted a rally yesterday in Washington Square to kick off the “40 Days for Life Campaign”. In past years, at least one person from the group has camped out in the Jordan Block in downtown Ottawa for 40 straight days. The protest is just steps away from a Planned Parenthood clinic on Court Street.
The Republican-led House last week approved a bill to freeze funding of Planned Parenthood do to the use of fetal tissue.
