Still no sign of escaped inmate
Posted by wlpo on September 5, 2015
As we enter day three of the search for escaped prisoner Joshua Drinnon, there’s still been no sign of him.
Drinnon escaped from a rest stop on westbound Interstate 80 near Princeton shortly before 5 Wednesday afternoon. The active search for Drinnon in the area was suspended late Thursday afternoon.
Police will handle possible sightings of him on a case-by-case basis. All the alleged sightings of Drinnon have failed to turn up the escapee.
The United States Marshall Service has taken over the case. Drinnon has been able to evade capture despite dogs, officers, airplanes and helicopters all being used to find him.
He was on his way to San Diego from Tennessee facing a charge of aggravated robbery. He’s considered dangerous so if you spot him, don’t approach him, just call the police.

Hearing the tragic news of two Galesburg students being killed in a car accident last Saturday, L-P stepped up last night to offer emotional support. The Cavalier band played the Galesburg song before a moment of silence was held before kickoff.
Inside the stadium, two flags and a large poster with the Galesburg High logo and names of the two students was on display on the hill between the visiting bleachers and concession stand.
