Missing man from Putnam County found in Colorado

An elderly man with Alzheimer’s who’d been missing since early Sunday morning has been found.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s office say Chuck Palermo was found around 10 Monday morning at at truck stop in Bennett, Colorado.  He had been missing since 10 Sunday morning when he left Lake Thunderbird in Putnam County heading for Princeton.

The sheriff’s office said Palermo was found by the Colorado Highway Patrol.  Putnam County had gotten word that Palermo may have been heading west and sent out an alert to departments across the nation.
