A two-car crash north of Marseilles sent both drivers to the hospital, and then to jail.
Shortly after 1:30 Saturday morning, Ramone Fuller of Chicago was heading west near the intersection of County Highways 15 and 4 when he had to pull over after his car broke down. Eric Poole of Marseilles didn’t see Fuller on the side of the road and ran into him from behind.
Both were taken to OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.
Poole was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Fuller was found to be on a Lake County Warrant for contempt of court, and was also charged with improper parking on a roadway and driving while license suspended.
Poole and Fuller were both taken to the La Salle County Jail.
