Do you think too much is being made of football-related concussions or does even more need to be done to address head injuries? A bill pushed by Republican State Senator Sue Rezin wants schools to protect their student-athletes even more.

Governor Bruce Rauner signed the bill Monday that requires doctors to have to clear a student before they return to school after suffering a concussion. Schools also have to form a “concussion oversight team” and have an emergency plan of action in case of a serious head injury.
