Contractors knocking down doors to Marseilles City Hall for clean up jobs

If you’re a contractor in the Illinois Valley, chances are you’ve spent some time in Marseilles this week.

City officials in Marseilles including the police department say they’ve been overwhelmed with potential contractors looking to repair damage from Monday night’s hailstorm. All contractors wanting to work in Marseilles must get a contractors permit from the city.

If you have damage at your home or business and are approached by a door-to-door repair salesperson, ask them to show you their solicitors permit and contractors permit.
