The Illinois River continues to rise along the Illinois Valley

The Illinois River continues to go up after heavy rain on Monday.

The river in Utica at the Starved Rock Lock and Dam has gone up nearly a foot and a half in the past 24 hours. The river in Utica is now 10 feet above flood stage.

In Marseilles at the dam, the Illinois has gone up just over a foot in the past day putting it nearly three feet above flood stage. In La Salle the river went up a foot in the past day, now nine feet above flood stage.

Morris saw the biggest jump in the river level as the Illinois went up almost two and a half feet in the past 24 hours.
