Zoning Board in Oglesby says no thanks to a recycling company proposal

The brakes have been applied to a new plastics recycling company for Oglesby.
According to the NewsTribune, the Oglesby Zoning Board of Appeals voted unanimously to deny a rezoning request from TC Enterprises. ZBA members think the proposed development doesn’t fit with Oglesby’s comprehensive plan. Business owners who would be neighbors to the recycling company also are concerned about it being a potential eyesore.
Developer Tod Misener had said the recycling development at the old Dahlgren’s property near the Oglesby four corners would’ve meant a dozen jobs.
