Your vote is needed to bring a playground for children with disabilities in Ottawa

Ottawa currently lacks a playground for children with disabilities, despite 13 percent of the children in the city living with one. A group is working to change that.
“Project Inclusive” is a group of Ottawa organizations headed by the Kiwanis Club that is working towards building an inclusive play park for both disabled and non-disabled children. The group has secured a spot at the Lincoln-Douglas Park for the playground. Money is now being sought and the Ottawa Kiwanis needs your vote in a $25,000 Facebook competition for playground equipment.

The group hopes to have the money raised by April 2016, with a tentative opening day for the park set for June 1, 2016.
