Businesses on the north end of downtown Utica continue to clean up after Sunday morning’s fire.
Skoog’s Pub, Second Look Antiques, Joy & Ed’s Supper Club and Flutterby Gourmet Popcorn remain closed after taking on smoke and water damage. The fire started in a home above the antiques store.
Utica Fire Chief Ben Brown says he doesn’t think the cause is suspicious. He’s awaiting an official report from the state fire marshal’s office.
58-year-old Roy Lance was pulled from to safety by firefighters and is being treated still at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford.
