Suspicious note sends students home early at Streator Woodland

Posted by wlpo on April 28, 2015

A bomb threat had Streator Woodland High School dismissing early Monday afternoon.

School officials say just before 11 in the morning a handwritten note was found on the wall of a girl’s bathroom stall saying “Bomb at 2:00 p.m.” Deputies from Livingston County came out to the school and found nothing suspicious. Just to be safe, students were moved to another part of the high school and eventually dismissed at 1 o’clock.

Administrators say they don’t think students were ever in danger. If you have information about the bomb threat you’re asked to call the Streator Woodland superintendent or the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.
