Woodford County Board decides against asking Aaron Schock to cover election costs

Posted by wlpo on April 21, 2015

Not everyone thinks former Congressman Aaron Schock owes them after his resignation.

The Woodford County Board last night voted not to ask that Schock reimburse the county for the costs of two elections this year to find the Republican’s replacement in Congress. The estimated bill for Woodford County is over $100,000. A split Woodford County Finance Committee sent the idea to the full board.

Earlier this month the Marshall County Board voted to ask Schock to reimburse them for around $76,000 in election costs.

Schock is being investigated for improper use of taxpayer money.
