Conditions are ripe for field fires in the Illinois Valley

Wednesday is not a good day for burning.
Strong winds and low relative humidity has led to a Red Flag Warning until seven Wednesday night. The National Weather Service says that when the conditions are like this, there’s an “explosive” fire growth potential.
Winds could gust as high as 30 miles an hour which would help spread brush or grass fires.
