Renovation of historic Putnam County Courthouse moves ahead

Posted by wlpo on April 14, 2015

The facelift of the oldest courthouse around will continue ahead of schedule and under budget.

According to the NewsTribune, the next phase of the Putnam County Courthouse restoration project will cost over $50,000 less than originally thought. The main reason is that bricks and concrete can be repaired instead of completely replaced.

The architect of the project says renovations should be done by the end of May.
