Peru’s Market Street Terminal began Friday with shovels turning over dirt. According to the News Tribune, Market Street Terminal is a joint venture between Northern Partners Coop and CHS industries. When fully constructed the site will contain a 20 acre shipping terminal and a 47,000 ton capacity liquid and dry fertilizer warehouse. The future barge terminal will ship grain for export through CHS terminal in Myrtle Grove, Louisiana. Construction will extend in to the spring of 2016.
