La Salle County courts and offices to be closed Monday

Don’t worry about making it to your court hearing Monday.  The La Salle County Governmental Complex on Enta Road in Ottawa and the downtown Ottawa courthouse will be closed Monday.

County Board Chairman Jerry Hicks and Judge Chris Ryan made the decision Sunday afternoon.  County offices are expected to reopen Tuesday.  People who had jury duty Monday, groups 1-13, should report Tuesday.  Groups 14-31 should call Tuesday night.

La Salle County snow plows were to stop running before dark Sunday night.  You are encouraged to stay off of the roads.

La Salle girl dies after battle with cancer

The family of Lily Rosploch has announced that 5 year old Lily died. The time of her death wasn’t clear. Lilly came to your attention shortly after her diagnonsis for neuroblastoma in 2012. She appeared at many public events – some to raise money for her treatment.
