Grief support group to hold walk and balloon launch

Posted by wlpo on September 22, 2014

When you lose a child, no matter their age, you lose a piece of yourself. You don’t have to grieve alone. The local chapter of Compassionate Friends meets once a month.

Sunday they’re trying something new- a walk and balloon release at Baker Lake in Peru.  Rita Studzinski lost a child nearly 13 years ago. She’s hoping the walk will help them reach out to people who could use the support.

Registration is at 9am Sunday with the walk at 10am. It is $10 to enter with the money to be spent on research and educational materials.  Learn more about the group and the walk by listening to an interview that’s available at the WLPO AM and FM news page.
