Posted by wlpo on September 21, 2014

An emergency call to an Oglesby home left a man facing a felony gun charge.

The Oglesby police say the man’s wife called 911 about 9pm Saturday.  Officers from Oglesby, La Salle, Peru,  the Illinois State Police, and La Salle County Sheriff’ Department surrounded a home on Maple.  While they were doing that, police say Raymond Carlson came of the home and confronted an officer.

Police say they used a taser on Carlson after he allegedly ignored orders to lay on the ground.   Carlson was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.  He allegedly had two guns. Other charges are pending. He was taken to the La Salle County Jail.
