Illinois’s rules for owning and carrying a gun have changed a lot in the past year but one thing has remained the law- you need to have a FOID card.
Police say Stephen Borostowski of La Salle did not have a FOID card when he was allegedly found with a gun and ammunition during a traffic stop Thursday outside of La Salle.
Borostowski was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of weapon, a felony, and possession of a firearm and ammunition without a FOID card. He was also given tickets for driving with a revoked license, driving on the shoulder and possession of cannabis and was taken to the La Salle County Jail.
