Semi heavily damages walking bridge at Starved Rock

More bad luck at Starved Rock State Park.

With several trails still closed because of storm damage, a walking bridge may now have to be replaced after a semi crashed into it yesterday morning. State Police say a trucker from Iowa was driving up the lower entrance road between the visitor’s center and lodge when his trailer hit the bridge.

Nobody was hurt and the driver wasn’t ticketed.
