Busy road between Ottawa and Marseilles will be under construction

If you take Canal Road between Ottawa and Marseilles, you may want to think about an alternate route.

Starting on Monday, the road along the Illinois River will be closed starting just east of the ADM railroad tracks. Crews are replacing a culvert.

There will be no detour. The closure could last up to a week.
