St. Bede hopes new arch is a gateway to the future

If you went to St. Bede years ago, you probably remember the “Gateway Arch”.

Last Saturday, members of the Class of 1964 helped break ground on the new arch at the academy. The arch is an initial part of the Legacy Project, which is a construction plan that includes upgrades, renovations and new construction.

The new arch will be near the north entrance to the school. The old arch was at the entrance of St. Bede Lane.

The class of ’64 is paying for the new arch. It’s supposed to be ready for the new school year.
