Leland man accused in July 4th police chase

Hopefully your holiday was fun but didn’t include going to jail.

Daniel Michael of Leland was sent to the Kendall County Jail after allegedly leading police on a chase Friday afternoon. Deputies say they tried stopping Michael on Route 25 in Oswego for a traffic violation but he drove away. He’s accused of leading police on a chase that ended in Yorkville.

Michael was arrested for felony fleeing or attempting to elude police and reckless driving. He’s also facing several traffic tickets.
