Fire burns hundreds of acres in La Salle County

A controlled burn grew out of hand in La Salle County. Earlville Fire Chief Larry Todd says they used 15,000 gallons of water while putting out the field fire Saturday. 180 acres were burned southeast of Earlville. Serena Fire provided a brush truck and tanker.
