Plenty Of Development Activity Along Route 6 In La Salle

Posted by wlpo on March 25, 2014

An eyesore in La Salle will soon be no more.

The old JJ’s Dog, Beef, Chicken & More at the intersection of Creve Couer Street and Route 6 is supposed to be torn down Thursday. American Nickeloid Employee Credit Union is going to move from their 1st street location into the old JJ’s property.

Just a little east of that the old Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce building on Bucklin Street has been sold. Economic Development Director Don Aleksy says an insurance agent bought the building.

Also on Route 6 in La Salle the new Becks and Casey’s stations are still on schedule for construction this year.
