Alleged Spring Valley Shooter Appears In Court

Posted by wlpo on January 8, 2014

If you’ve been following the fatal shooting in Spring Valley, the man accused of pulling the trigger remains behind bars.

Angel Moreno of Spring Valley made an initial court appearance Tuesday in Bureau County Court and was appointed a public defender.  He’ll be arraigned Friday for involuntary manslaughter.

Moreno was arrested last Saturday at his home after allegedly shooting 23-year old Kyle Zinser in his leg.  Zinser was pronounced dead in Moreno’s house.  Investigators say Moreno waited several hours to call 911 after shooting Zinser.

Moreno is being held in the Bureau County Jail on $50,000 bond.
