DePue receiving state money for water storage tank project

Posted by wlpo on November 7, 2013

Your town probably has a bottomless list of public works projects.  In DePue the village needs to renovate a ground level water storage tank.  The work is estimated to cost $225,000, but a good portion of the tab is being picked up by a state grant.

The state announced Thursday the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity will be giving the village $173,000.  The village is paying $52,000.

The money was originally from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
