Rabid Bat Found In Marshall County

Posted by wlpo on September 29, 2013

If you see a bat flying around at home, don’t mess with it, call a professional.

Marshall County health officials say they found a rabid bat.  Rabies is a viral disease that affects the central nervous system of humans and animals.

Health officials say if you see a bat at home, close the door and call the county animal protection services.  Also report all bites, check for holes in your home that bats can get into and also make sure dogs and cats have updated rabies vaccinations.
