State Police and Illinois Gaming Board remove gambling machines from a Streator business

Posted by wlpo on September 24, 2013

Finding a place to gamble is easy in the Illinois Valley, but not every business is legal.

A place on West Second Street in Streator allegedly had 19 illegal gambling machines plus pull-tabs, tip boards and cash.  Members of the Illinois State Police and Illinois Gaming Board raided the building Monday afternoon after someone complained to the gaming board.

The gaming board says one employee and five customers were there when they made the bust.  The people were questioned but no one was arrested.  The investigation isn’t over though.
