Tornado Touches Down North Of Ottawa

While there have been no reports of damage or injuries, a brief twister touched down in La Salle County.

Around 6:30pm Sunday a tornado warning was issued for northeast La Salle County after the weather service picked up rotation on the radar and trained spotters saw a funnel cloud near Serena.  That funnel eventually spawned a brief tornado which was caught on camera.

Weather service officials say rotation stopped around 7:15pm.
