Two Drug Charges For Peru Doctor

Posted by wlpo on August 27, 2013

A Peru doctor is being held on one million dollars bond after being charged with two felony drug counts.

Dr. Constantino Perales was officially charged in La Salle County Court Tuesday morning with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.  He’s accused of delivery of Oxycontin and Lorazepam.  Perales was taken into custody Monday at his Seventh Street Clinic.

La Salle County State’s Attorney Brian Towne says additional charges are pending both on the local and federal level.  He says some of the charges could be sexually related.

Perales is being represented by Clay Campbell who is the former DeKalb County State’s Attorney.  Perales will be up for grand jury indictment September 10th and arraignment September 13th.
