Ninety plus temperatures

It’s a “dry heat” doesn’t wash here and especially this week. The National Weather Service says temperatures will climb into the mid 90’s by Tuesday. Combined with the humidity it will feel like 100 degrees or more. Daytime temperatures will drop below ninety by Thursday. There are slight chances for showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night and on Friday – the start of the high school football season.

Illegal use of a backhoe

Trying to run over family members ….that’s worth a ticket or two from the sheriff’s office. 56-year old Mark Lambert of Marseilles allegedly caused a disturbance at a residence on Marseilles’s west side Saturday evening, according to the Sheriff’s office. The report says Lambert allegedly tried to destroy property and run over family members with a backhoe. He was charged with reckless driving, reckless conduct and felony aggravated assault. Lambert went to the county jail.
