Spring Valley to celebrate National Night Out

Posted by wlpo on August 5, 2013

Bad things happen after dark or so they say.  Spring Valley is one of many towns observing National Nigh Out.  It’s Tuesday night and though most of the activities will begin before sunset, it will still give kids a lesson in safety and crime prevention.

Free swimming will be offered from 5-6pm at the pool, hot dogs.  Afterwards kids will be treated to hot dogs, chips, drinks and freeze pops.

The Life-Flight Helicopter is scheduled to land in Kirby Park where there will also be a K9 demonstration.  Kids will also find a bounce house, games and the annual “Shine a Light on Crime Glow Stick Walk” at dusk.

If you won’t be going to the activities, you can show your support by leaving your porch light on Tuesday night.
