Fatal Arson Unsolved One Year Later In Streator
Posted by wlpo on August 5, 2013
A year ago today 3-year old Sanranadee Green-Libbey was pulled from a burning apartment in Streator. She died the same day at St. Mary’s Hospital.
That fire was ruled arson and the search continues for the person or persons who set that fire and many other suspicious ones last year in Streator. La Salle County State’s Attorney Brian Towne says his office is contact with the Streator Police and as leads develop, they are looked into them but unfortunately he can only say the investigation continues.
In the midst of the string of suspicious fires in Streator, a group of people was arrested for setting fires in nearby Livingston County but they’ve never been linked to the fire that killed Green-Libbey or the Lipton Tea blaze. If there was a link, Towne says they would’ve already been charged.
If you have any information into the fatal fire that killed Green-Libbey or other arsons in Streator, call the state’s attorney’s office or Streator PD. There are cash rewards offered.
