The day after a Verizon Wireless Store in Peru was robbed at gunpoint, the men accused have not been arrested.
The “Digital Store” next to Staples was robbed of nearly $400,000 in inventory Saturday night. Peru Police Sgt. Hocking told WLPO AM and FM News that the robbery was reported at about 6:45pm.
A man working at the store says the men took phones, IPads and more. The robbery took an estimated 10 minutes.
The men were described as black and were possibly driving a blue van. Immediately following the robbery, police began trying to track the location of the stolen phones. It’s also believed the men were at the nearby Target and AT&T store prior to the robbery.
