Bill Brady Will Run Again For Governor

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) – State Sen. Bill Brady is making a third bid to be Illinois governor.
The Bloomington Republican writes on his campaign website Tuesday that he isn’t giving up on Illinois despite the state’s serious fiscal challenges. He plans to formally announce the move today at appearances across the state. He’ll start in Chicago and end the day at a Bloomington restaurant.
Brady joins an already crowded 2014 Republican field. Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford of Chenoa and Chicago businessman Bruce Rauner both have already announced bids in the March 8 primary.
Brady narrowly emerged as the Republican primary victor in 2010. Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn defeated him by less than one percent of 3.6 million votes.
