A Springfield, Oregon, woman was hospitalized with a minor injury after falling from a trail today (Sunday) in Starved Rock. Sgt. Robert Frasier is with the State Conservation police. Frazier said 23-year old Kylee Terry was hiking in LaSalle Canyon in the park’s southeast corner about 1:30pm when she lost her footing and fell six feet. Assistant Utica Fire Chief Ben Brown said the canyon wall comes up next to the trail and apparently Terry may have lost her footing while leaning against it. Ottawa River Rescue carried the woman across the river to a Utica ambulance. Terry was taken to St. Elizabeth’s in Ottawa.
