Kewanee man arrested for Princeton armed robbery

Posted by wlpo on May 19, 2013

If you’re a store owner, it’s fun to have customers browsing. But, it’s different if one customer displays a handgun. That’s what happened about 2:30pm yesterday (Saturday) in Anne’s Antiques of Princeton, according to city police. A white male ordered the owner and employee to the floor, grabbed cash from the register and fled on foot. Princeton police said 30-year old David Jones of Kewanee was identified as the thief by a woman accomplice. The report said Jones was found hiding in the Princeton apartment of 30-year Adam Budd. Jones and his 20-year old girlfriend. Rebecca Daily of Buda were arrested for armed robbery and aggravated robbery and were taken to Bureau County jail. While searching Budd’s apartment, Budd was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
