100th Birthday for well-known retired teacher

NO gifts, but cards and memories are welcomed for a retired Waltham Elementary first grade teacher today. Some may recall or were even taught by Dorothy Love. Love, of Ottawa, is celebrating her 100 birthday with a family and public gathering at Seneca’s Oak Ridge between 2 – 4. Dorothy Love was honored at the last Ottawa Township High School basketball game of the season this year and has been attendeding games for 69 years. She and her late husband, Gil, have four children – sons, Chuck and John and twin daughters, Jane and Joan. Gil Love coached the basketball Pirates from 1944- 61 with a record of 327 – 143. Several of those teams went to state.
