IVCC requiring health insurance for student athletes

Posted by wlpo on May 10, 2013

Good grades and talent won’t be the only requirements for student athletes at Illinois Valley Community College; officials would like them to also have health insurance. Starting with the fall semester, student-athletes will be required to carry primary insurance, which may include a parent’s insurance.

School officials will be preparing a packet of information regarding health insurance options for student athletes and all interested students. District insurance agents should provide information on basic health insurance plans to Associate Vice President for Student Services Tracy Morris.
