Work is underway on a new Wound and Hyperbaric Center at Illinois Valley Community Hospital.
Officials gathered Wednesday for the official groundbreaking on the 24 hundred square foot building. The center will be directly across from the IVCH ER entrance at the corner of 6th and Plum Streets.
The IVCH addition is expected to open in July and will have hyperbaric oxygen therapy as one of its treatments. IVCH CEO Tommy Hobbs says the new building will treat chronic wounds.
