Illinois River flooding continues to affect Peru water front

           A portion of a Water Street in Peru remains underwater as the Illinois River slowly recedes.  The River near La Salle and Peru was still seven feet over flood stage Sunday morning. It’s forecast to remain above flood stage for at least another week.

          And while the water has been off the road for days, Route 351 at the Shippingsport bridge remains closed because of the damage caused by flood waters.
