Sheffield Village Hall Added To National Historic List

Posted by wlpo on February 8, 2013

If you’re a history buff, check out the Sheffield Village Hall.

The 103-year old building has been added to the National Register of Historic Places.  Historic Preservation officials say the Sheffield Village Hall is historic because of its architectural style and its connection to one of the most successful architects of the 19th century, George Franklin Barber.

The historic village hall was built in 1910 at a cost of just over ten thousand dollars.  Being on the national register means preservation funds are available for the Sheffield building.
