A broken water main in La Salle has been fixed again.  The water main break left many homes north of LP High School with without water since Monday afternoon.

City crews had the break fixed Monday night but it broke again a few hours later.  After working on it much of Tuesday, it has been repaired.

People living on Chartres Street between 7th and 9th Streets and from Peru to Lafayette Streets between 7th and 9th  should boil their water or used bottled water for drinking and cooking until further notice.

More Video Gaming Machines Coming To Mendota

Posted by wlpo on January 22, 2013

There are more places to get in on the video gaming action in Mendota.

According to the NewsTribune, the Mendota City Council last night approved video gaming licenses for Main Street Station and The Hub.  El Zarape and two Interstate 39 truck stops have had video gaming since last year.

Revenues from the video gambling machines haven’t produced a financial windfall for Mendota.  The city’s take of November revenues was just 400 dollars.
