Huge Light Display In La Salle Back For Another Show

Posted by wlpo on November 24, 2012

Arguably the Illinois Valley’s biggest Christmas light display has flipped on the switch.

The 6th annual Weber’s Christmas Show in Senica’s Subdivision on the east end of La Salle includes 100 thousand lights, 800 extension chords and almost 20 control boxes.  Scott Weber is the man behind all the lights. Weber says the lights are stored in a semi trailer throughout the year when not in use.

The theme of this year’s light show is patriotic.  Weber says they have a huge and very bright American flag as part of the display.

As in past years, people are asked to make food and monetary donations when driving up to watch the light show.  Proceeds are donated to the Illinois Valley Food Pantry.
