Election Not Over In Bureau County

Posted by wlpo on November 11, 2012

Proof that every vote counts, two races in Bureau County are still considered too close to call.

In District 15 on the county board, Democrat Mike Maynard had just three more votes than Republican challenger Bud Wilkinson after last Tuesday’s election.  And for county clerk, Republican Mary Romanelli Dremann has 97 more votes than Democrat Dawn Reglin.

Since there are absentee ballots still not counted, a winner won’t be official until November 20th.
